cernlib-base-dev software package provides CERNLIB data analysis suite - dependencies checking script, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cernlib-base-dev
cernlib-base-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cernlib-base-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cernlib-base-dev *
You will get with cernlib-base-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
